Hello, I’ve played this game before in the past on a previous account but made a new one cuz I didn’t know much about Highrise and what I wanted to do on here. But now I do and that is designing clothing and using concepts such as the pride one to give me an outline. My username is 2004 Joker and my @ is We_is_the_batman. So, a question I want to ask is what kind of clothing is popular, and what do you want to see more of that isn’t seen a lot in stores?
This is the dress I created, for the “giving pride” concept I already posted it on my high rise acc with a watermark. Also if you guys have any constructive criticism, it would be greatly appreciated I could put it under ideas as well.
Wow that’s an interesting design … did you submit this to the giving pride concept?? And have you checked out the art guide pages I’ll link them below… I’m happy to help if you have any questions
I originally submitted to the “giving pride” concept, yes, but it got rejected bc I violated the guidelines ( despite not telling me exactly which rule it was that I violated.) I also checked the art guides below, even before you linked them. So thank you!
I’m not a staff member, so I can’t say for sure why your design was disqualified—but I’m happy to share a few common reasons that might help for next time!
If you received an actual message stating that the design was disqualified (rather than it simply not getting enough votes), there are a few possibilities. Sometimes, designs are removed if they include traced elements, use AI-generated content, or rely on templates from fashion apps. Highrise has pretty strict guidelines requiring all entries to be 100% original work of the artist.
Another possibility could be that the design didn’t fully align with the concept. For example, in the “Giving Pride” theme, items should clearly reflect Pride Month in a way that feels like a celebratory gift—something you’d give to support or uplift someone in the LGBTQ+ community. Color alone may not be enough to convey that message if the overall vibe doesn’t align with the theme.
That said, please don’t be discouraged! EVERYONE has to learn we all have had moments of confusion on where the line is drawn with some guidelines. Just keep creating, keep adjustiny as you learn… The MOST IMPORTANT thing to keep in mind is to make sure your submissions fully reflect the concept and are truly your own work.
