Hello Highrise World Creators! We were excited to see all of the May Flowers Game Jam submissions posted yesterday and it’s been a blast playing through all your creations!
We’ve had a few questions about the rules and submissions deadline that we would like to clarify for everyone. Here is the list of rules that will be used for all future game jam challenges:
- Worlds must be published AND tagged with the provided tag name by the submission deadline.
- All worlds must be created after the game jam theme announcement. Any worlds created prior to this date will be disqualified.
- You may use pre-existing code, art, and audio assets you have the legal right to use. However, worlds existing prior to the game jam announcement cannot be repurposed for the new game jam. Brand new games only, please!
- Solo developers and group efforts are welcome, but we recommend teams of 2-4 people for better coordination. Join the #studio-beta channel on our Discord to find other creators looking to team up.
- While we strive to make the competition available for as many creators as possible, you must be 13 or older to participate.
- Worlds must adhere to the Highrise Community Guidelines
For the May Flowers Game Jam only, we have provided some flexibility for late submissions as we understand many creators are still learning to use HR Studio. Going forward, all game jams will have a development period of 2 weeks to allow for the creation of larger experiences with less crunch time!
