Perhaps there is some internal concern for which it is not made available any methods to give items to a bot or allow a bot to give items to players. I do not know, but I have been witnessing players holding auctions, and I was thinking it would be cool if you could have a bot that will take items and commands ( such as starting bid, etc… ) from players looking to sell and then perform the auction calling as well as the transactions. The winner would tip the bot the amount of their winning bid and the bot would give them the item, then the bot would give the gold to the seller. This would allow for different types of auctions as well such as silent auctions or timed auctions.
I think allowing bots to transact items and currency would open up a lot of possibilities for fun stuff. This is just one example I’ve been thinking on lately.
