A hush of winter magic has fallen over Highrise, and with it comes Season 2: Wintery Wish! Flutter Park has transformed into a glowing winter campsite where fairies sparkle and snowballs fly through the air as the season of giving is upon us! This season celebrates the joy of giving with new ways to gift friends and strangers alike.
Season 2: Wintery Wish runs from November 24th to January 9th.
Welcome to the Winter Flutter Park
Flutter Park has slipped into a snowy dream. Lanterns sway gently through the wind and candy canes pepper the ground. Here’s a sneak peak of what’s to come:
Cheer and Cheermart
In every interaction inside this season’s Flutter Park, you’ll earn Cheer. Cheer a currency used to buy items at Cheermart, which opens at launch and closes the week after the season ends.
In various interactions inside this seasons’ Flutter Park and events like the Weekly Studio Events, you’ll earn Cheer. Cheer is a currency used to buy items at Cheermart, which opens at launch and closes the week after the season ends.
Cheermart is a special shop that sells items from last year’s Joymart as well additional sentimental items. All of these items will be account-bound.
Additionally, you can also find special chests that give out the same items as the season blind boxes, found as a progression track reward. These items will be tradeable two weeks after the season ends.
The 99 Wishes Festival
At the heart of this season is the 99 Wishes, a new way to give out gifts.
You’ll occasionally find a Wishing Fairy, magical creatures that appear around as you explore. Most Wishing Fairies grant Cheer, but sometimes you’ll encounter a Rare Wishing Fairy that holds a Wishbox.
Wishboxes are gifts that must be gifted to another random player in the room. After being sent, the sender receives Cheer. The lucky receiver can find the Wishbox in their inventory. Once opened, they get Cheer and a random item from the 99 Wishes Collection. This collection includes returning favorites from years past and some new exclusives.
You can’t open your own Wishbox, as we’re focused on the magic of giving this winter. The more you give, the more Cheer you earn to spend in the Cheermart!
And naturally, if you can’t find anyone to give a Wishbox to, you’ll be able to stack it on top of your head. Show others just how much presents you want to give out!
The Christmas Tree & Room Buffs
We wanted to commemorate this season with a shared sense of community building. To make this season special, a brilliant Christmas Tree now stands at the center of Flutter Park, visible to everyone.
A friendly NPC sells Ornaments that serve two purposes.
Each ornament bought is placed on the Christmas Tree. The Christmas Tree is globally seen by everyone in every room and replaces older ornaments with newer ones once it becomes full. The more the community participates, the brighter the Christmas Tree gets!
Additionally, buying an ornament gives everyone in the room a present under the Christmas Tree! Only the individual player can see it and can be opened at any time. Once opened, they will grant a temporary buff to the whole room depending on the Ornament bought, including:
- Fairy Burst (more fairies)
- Double Cheer
- Double Speed
- Critter Burst (more critter spawns)
New Critters to Catch
Winter hasn’t slowed the critters one bit. 36 new fish and 36 new insects have emerged across Flutter Park, ready to flutter, scatter, and splash into your collection.
They’re grouped into four themed sets, each offering bonus Cheer and Season XP when completed. Every catch grants Cheer, helping you progress through the Season Pass.
Wishing Star Fish
These glowing fish shimmer with winter magic. These are similar to Rare Wishing Fairies because the fish also offers a Wishbox. HOWEVER, you can select which one person in the room they want to send the gift to. However, if you take too long to pick a player, aren’t able to find someon, or there isn’t anyone in the room, you can stack it on your head and use it to give a random person later.
Snowball Fight
If mischief calls, scoop up a snowball and toss it at another player. Each throw grants Cheer to both of you and XP to the thrower. It’s gentle, silly winter fun.
Fairy Swarms
After catching a fairy, there’s a rare chance a Fairy Swarm will spawn, spreading across the entire world! Everyone can join in to catch as many as they can.
In the midst of the fairy frenzy, if the community catches enough fairies in time, all participants earn Cheer and XP. To balance it out and make sure players don’t instantly finish the entire 99 Wishes Collection, no Rare Wishing Fairies will spawn during the Fairy Swarm.
Critter Blitz Bonus
Previously, how Blitz worked was that players would work together as a team to catch as many critters as possible. Each player would be get rewards based on the total amount of critters caught by the team.
A lot of players told us it didn’t feel fair when some people stayed idle during a Blitz but still were rewarded. Now, you only get rewards based on how many critters you caught during the Blitz, rather than the total amount of critters by the team.
A Season About Connection
The 99 Wishes Festival is more than a winter celebration. It’s about small acts of generosity that glow a little brighter in the cold. Every Wishbox you send, every ornament hung on the tree, and every snowball you throw helps create a world that feels connected and alive.
Catch critters, share gifts, and spread Cheer this winter. Your next wish might brighten someone’s day.
