Coming Soon: Season 3 Updates

Happy last-day-of-2025! How are we feeling about 2026? :eyes:

Hopefully, it’s hyped, because today we’re coming at you with some updates to our favorite addition to HR in 2025: Season Pass! :butterfly:

The Season Pass Problem (a.k.a. “I swear I’ll check it later”)

Here’s something we’ve heard a bit: a lot of folks are totally down for new quests and free rewards, but Season Pass can be… kinda hard to find.

Right now, the Season Pass lives in pretty specific places that aren’t always top-of-mind. It’s tied to a small phone icon that you mainly see in Flutter Park, or it’s squirreled away in the hamburger menu, waiting to be pinned. (Did you know you could do that? :eyes:)

As much as Rosie and Bee would wish it otherwise, a huge chunk of you aren’t living in Flutter Park 24/7. You’re hanging out, eventing, hosting, and traveling between worlds. That’s a good thing: exploration is what HR is for!

But the end result is that Season Pass can feel pretty hidden. Earning XP becomes something that you stumble into, or worse, forget about. Then, this leads to FOMO and confusion because rewards are clearly happening… but the path to them doesn’t feel natural.

The big goal for Season 3 is to make the Season Pass feel always-present and easy to engage with, no matter how you play.

Here’s the rundown on how some small UI changes will make Season Pass feel even better!

What’s Changing In Season 3

Universal Phone Icon

The phone icon will now appear on all main screens and worlds: Feed, Inbox, Shop, Profile, Travel, World, etc.

Instead of the Season Pass being “somewhere else,” it’s always just a single little tap away, wherever you are.

Tap the phone → it slides up as a bottom drawer

Instead of the old “tiny phone inside the screen” UI, tapping the phone now opens a full-width bottom drawer menu.

Inside, you’ll see big, easy-to-tap apps, and a built-in Season Pass XP bar so your progress is instantly visible. It’s clean, it’s clear, and it’s totally customizable: we’ll be able to change the menu’s color scheme and vibe to match every new season! :rainbow:

Right now, the phone menu is super charming, but it’s also a bit wee. With these changes, we intend to make the Season Pass phone feel natural, comfortable on mobile, and prevent awkward thumb-stretching.

Free Season XP

For those of you who vibe with that work-life balance, we made a new feature just for all your casual, hangout-oriented playstyles. :person_in_lotus_position:

On occasion, you’ll see a small Season Pass XP notification at the top of your screen.

  • Tap it to claim free Season XP!

  • You can claim your XP without traveling anywhere. Just tap to open a new app in your phone menu and snag your reward.

  • Free XP has a short cooldown window with a visible countdown on the top of your screen. The timer keeps counting down even while you’re away from the app, so you can pop back in, tap once, and watch that XP fly into your progress meter.

This way, if you’re already active socially (chatting, visiting rooms, being part of the world), you can make some progress without needing to significantly change your preferred playstyle and become a hardcore mini-gamer.

Earn XP just for doing what you love to do: chill and chat.

TLDR: Season Pass UI Updates

  • Universal access: the phone icon lives everywhere, so the Season Pass isn’t tied to a specific world or buried in menus.

  • A new, slide-up menu: tap your phone to open a clean, clear, bottom-drawer-style menu with a new layout.

  • Free XP, just for hanging out: grab XP on a timer whenever you hang out in rooms, no mini-gaming required!

  • Season 4, who? These changes are a stepping stone toward future improvements! Stay tuned: we have big plans for how to seamlessly evolve Season Pass to be even more rewarding and integrated in the new year!

Cheers to spending 2025 together, and here’s to the new year. :clinking_glasses: Let’s make it fabulous!
