As the evening grow darker and the leaves turn all sorts of colors, Boo Bash makes its return as the veil between worlds trembles once again. We’re calling all Highrisers to celebrate the season by popping Susan, gathering ectoplasm, and seeing new spooky surprises.
This year, Boo Bash expands with Halloween-themed avatar animations, a brand new map, and plenty of rewards to chase with ectoplasm.
Boo Bash, along with Season 1, will run from Oct 15th to November 14th. See this season’s mystery in Flutter Park and Boo Bash in its brand new world. Whether you’re a Boo Bash veteran or joining the fright for the first time, here’s everything to know about this year’s haunting.
What Is Boo Bash?
Boo Bash is Highrise’s annual Halloween event, a mix of spooky, cute, and community-driven fun. In it, players get paired up with a Boo Bud, ghostly pets who help open the veil between the living and the dead. Work together with friends and strangers alike to pop as many ghosts as possible that haunt the map to collect Ectoplasm, our seasonal currency for Boo Bash.
Players can also occasionally encounter Phantom bosses, giant ghosts where everybody has to work together to pop. Beware! Giving them enough taps will lead them to their next phase, making them an even bigger target for popping. They give a lot of Ectoplasm once finally defeated!
Ectoplasm can be traded for exclusive Halloween cosmetics and rewards.
As your Boo Bud is a ghost, they unfortunately will have to leave you as this special event ends.
HOWEVER, if players complete the Season Pass (free or premium) they can earn a Soulstone to permanently keep their Boo Bud. They will also be able to customize them by changing their color and adding particle effects.
What’s New This Year
This year’s Boo Bash expands the haunting with new event mechanics and rewards that make the ghost hunt more dynamic and social than ever.
New Haunted Map
Introducing our new Boo Bash event map! Now bigger than ever, players can explore the town and see what ethereal beings await them…
Get Last Year’s Boo Bud
We saw that some players loved their old Boo Bud so much that their connection between worlds still stayed strong. For players who missed their Boo Bud from last year, they can now work towards getting them back by earning enough Ectoplasm this Boo Bash.
Ghost Swarms
The realm is unstable, and ghost swarms can now appear at random. There’s too many for a single Highriser to pop, so it’s time to rally with friends to clear the swarm before they fly past.
Possessed Objects
Some spirits are now bound to haunted objects scattered throughout the map. Players will need to find the object and draw them out by tapping on it before the ghost vanishes vanish. Keep those eyes peeled, as they don’t like to stay still for long.
New Gift Bombs and Animations
Now, players can buy Halloween-themed gift bombs to give all players a temporary boost. They come in all shapes and sizes! This includes:
Skeleton Cat - Looks like there are more friendly undead than we thought. A skeleton cat runs from the darkness to all player’s aid!
Zombie Transformation - If we can’t beat the undead, we might as join them. All players turn into zombies, with new zombie clothing and frightful animations! This changes all core avatar animations temporarily, including walk and idle.
Haunted Doll and Ghost Transformation - As the haunt goes on, there will also be releases for avatar animations that make players act like a Haunted Doll and Ghost. Perfect for the Halloween season!
Players should use these gift bombs wisely to boost the entire map with extra ectoplasm as they combat the ghosts. Or they can gather around with friends and take iconic photos with our new Camera Mode!

At its core, Highrise is about community, and Boo Bash is one of the best celebrations of that spirit.
It’s not just an event about chasing ghosts. It’s a seasonal moment that brings everyone together, letting players explore, collaborate, and celebrate Halloween in their own style. Whether players are here for the challenge, the fashion, or the fun, Boo Bash is about shared experiences. Its a reminder that even in the spooky season, you’re never alone.
